Last night was suuuuper dope. FINALLY got to listen to the ENTIIIIIIRE Kanye album at the listening party.

Highlights include (and are not limited to):
*Kanye walked us through his thought process on the creation of the album
*We had vodka infused smoothies (that was the highlight of my inner alcoholic! ha!)
*I got to wear my 'Ye glasses (awww shit!)
*The album is AMAZING
*Kanye's mama was there

The District Attorney then came to the school accompanied by the town’s police and demanded that the students end their protest, telling them, “I can be your best friend or your worst enemy… I can take away your lives with a stroke of my pen.”
A series of white-on-black incidents of violence followed, and the DA did nothing. But when a white student was beaten up in a schoolyard fight, the DA responded by charging six black students with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Siren Festival

We (Jesse, Jesse's super fab friends Lexi & Erica, and I) trooped our asses up to Coney Island (mine and Lexi's first time to the darkside) for Siren festival on saturday to see M.I.A perform. ummmm...we didn't get to see MIA because there was a SHITLOAD of people, freaks and monsters all over the place...but we did get to hear her,but it was kinda too hot to get to into it.
We are just happy babygirl got her visa situation in order-- so now that she is free to tour the US, we can catch her another time.

Even though there were sooooo many scary people...we managed to have fun! ha!

So last week: Jesse, Shaqy and i were en route to a party at the 40/40 club (i hate that place..but i digress)..

we took a nice little leisure stroll in the mean streets of midtown, when we hear a "you ladies look cute".

but it was...long story short, SHAQY persuades us to RIDE IN A TOUR BUS for like 30 blocks, and WE GET DROPPED OFF IN FRONT OF THE CLUB... *sigh*

Summer Jam '07 was AMAZING... Nicole and I got there a little late so we missed like 3 acts Mims..eh, T-pain..like the one song, but..eh and Ciara...she can't really sing..but she's cool...
